A day in the life…

The Bastard Moonchild’s demented thoughts and mundane stories

Still the Champ

The barren streets of Metro Manila is a testament to our ardent support for Manny Pacquiao.

Once again, he wins against his opponent, the ever-smiling Jorge Solis, via knockout during the first seconds of the 8th round.

Pinoys are once again ecstatic.

On hindsight, I said I wanted him to lose so he could re-think his career path.

But well, it’s a victory for our main main in boxing.

Now it gets me thinking… would this recent win be an indication of how he fares in the coming elections?

Dignitaries are missing in action during the Pacquiao-Solis bout.

The FG’s absence is understandable (I would have commented on this, but I will restrain myself for now).

I was wondering where Manong Chabet, uh, Chavit Singson was.

Maybe he was too busy building up his image so he gets in the surveys.

Nevertheless, the Pinoys in Vegas were supportive of his career path, whether in boxing or politics.

During the national anthem, a group of Pinoys waved a flag with "Vote Manny" on it.

Even Michael Buffer introduced him as "Congressional candidate Manny ‘The Pacman’ Paaacquiiiiaaaoooooo!!!"

But I commend the dude who waved a political poster of Pacman. Over the word "Congressman", he wrote in pentel pen, in bold strokes, "Boxer".

Yeah. Just an unsolicited advice: stick to boxing. You’re better off there.
