It’s a small world after all
It was a fun rainy Friday. Congratulations, by the way, is due to our bastard friend, Nelz, for a successful exhibit launch (walang ribbon cutting?). His exhibit runs for about a month, I think, at Pablo in the former Marikina Shoe Expo in Cubao.
Anyway, I just found out how the title/adage It’s A Small World rings so true in real life. You never know how people you knew before would be connected to people you knew now. For example, during the exhibit, I saw:
- a former busmate (grade school pa ito) who is now my friend’s boss (if I’m not mistaken);
- an ex of a college friend (never noticed until Carly pointed it out);
- college friends in the same area, looking for a place to eat dinner;
- my ka-tocayo having the same hairdo as mine (okay, so that probably wouldn’t fall under this category, but I just wanted to mention it).
Well I guess when you get older you create relationships with people you don’t know are connected to one another. Ah, such is the mystery of life. Charot!

On another note…
I think I am gaining notoriety among my friends who think that I write too much in my blog. Two college friends have pointed out that they always see my blog alerts in their email. As Ipe said, I write everyday (to which I disagree, and he makes bawi and says, "Okay, every other day.").
Okay, I’ve been reserving to answer this come the near future, when my posts have reached 200 (haha!). But because you might be wondering why I write a lot, here are a few answers I’ve come up:
- free internet connection in the office (which explains why my entries are usually posted during weekdays); and
- I believe that, aside from solving crossword puzzles and dancing, writing regularly will decrease my chances of having demetia, schizophrenia and all sorts of psychological disorder. Writing relieves me of stress and it’s my way of releasing pent-up feelings that may be a cause of some sort of illness, whether physical or psychological. But that’s not scientifically proven; that’s just me.
So there. Anyway, thanks for reading, if ever you take the time to do so.
But I guess there’s one thing you don’t know: I read blog entries twice as much as I do writing. So to my friends who have blogs, don’t think I don’t read them. Just because I don’t leave a comment doesn’t mean I dont click that "Read Blog" button.
