The Bastard Moonchild’s demented thoughts and mundane stories

Hello, Mr. Scofield

There are only a few TV series that get me hooked, probably because it has an interesting plot, cute protagonist and/or villains whom I get to like as I watch them.

The three above are the reasons why I, along with my dad and my sister (eventually my other brother would be watching it too), are wide awake, sitting in front of the TV to watch Prison Break.

See, my sister bought a DVD copy of the series’ first season in Metrowalk (where a raid occured, but that’s another story) for reasons I don’t know. Prior to that, a friend of mine was downloading it from YouTube last Friday. Hmm, so it must be interesting.

I propped myself onto the monobloc chair by the dining table as my sister and her boyfriend turned the DVD on and changed the TV to AV mode (ganda ko talaga, hinayaan ko lang silang ihanda ang DVD). That was about 7:30PM. Not long after, my dad came in from the kitchen and watched the series with us. Next thing we knew it was already 2AM of Sunday (of course before that, my sister’s boyfriend went home at about 10PM). And we were going to church at, er, 7AM.

Actually, what makes Prison Break interesting for us (especially my dad who doesn’t watch much TV unless it’s about sports… and news) are those cliffhanger-moments wherein like he’s-sh!tty-gonna-get-caught-but-gets-away-with-it thing. Plus the fact that Michael Scofield is a high-IQ dude with low latent inhibition, which allows him to recognize stimuli that regular people don’t. And he has a blueprint of the prison tattooed on his body in such a way that it forms a huge, complicated pattern around his body. And another thing, he’s got cool inmates. And I must admit, he’s kinda cute for a really squeaky clean guy.

I haven’t finished the whole DVD, so i just hope that it can sustain my interest until the end. And I really hope that by the end of the season, they’ll be out of Fox River.

So that probably means no more season 2. But what the hey, it’s gonna get boring if they don’t break out by then.
