Google Earth-ing Antel Global

Wow, my 110th post. Ang daldal ko pala. Syet.

Anyway, this morning my officemate downloaded the Google Earth program into his computer. I’ve heard of this Google Earth some months back, or maybe a year ago, but this is actually the first time I’ll see how the thingy works.

Cool, kinda like the Enemy of the State, except of course I’m no Will Smith.

So going back, we in the creatives had a blast looking for our building here in Ortigas. Funny, that version of Google Earth doesn’t have "Pasig" written on it. All we could see was QC, Marikina, Antipolo and Manila. Hmm, so it must be somewhere in the middle of QC and Antipolo. Okay. So we went to QC and found QC Circle. Ah, so we were at Commonwealth. Okay. Then detour to UP Diliman, and then went on to look for Katipunan. After a few turns, we found C5, the intersection going to Cubao and then Araneta Coliseum, complete with the LRT 2 station. Alright, we’re on the right track. EDSA then. Santolan MRT station, on the side there’s Camp Aguinaldo and its golf course. Then People’s Monument. Then EDSA Shrine. Cool, we’re in Galleria already. Stop. Ortigas Center or EDSA? We decided to go the EDSA route. Then the Ortigas MRT station. Megamall! Yehey! Julia Vargas Ave. Wait, that’s a one-way street. Turn to Tektite. And then — that’s us! Antel Global! Yehey!!!

And that ends our Google Earth journey for this morning.

What have I learned?

This office has too many back-seat drivers.
