The Bastard Moonchild’s demented thoughts and mundane stories

It’s the start of the Lunar New Year. And during this time every year, my mom and sis would buy those newspapers with the Chinese New Year specials. Goes to show how they really abide to these predictions and traditions, even if we’re not Chinese (I may have chinky eyes, but I’m not Chinese… or so I believe… can’t trace who is in our tree).

Out of boredom (I woke up alone in the house last Chinese Christmas Saturday because they were off to DV), I got one of those specials and read some of those predictions and stuff. I skipped the other parts and went to the year of the Goat (yes, I have a beard) to read what this year has in store for me.

Nice intro: I got four unlucky stars and two lucky stars plus some other lucky stars from other animal signs that will neutralize the unlucky stars, so fortune is half-good, half-bad. Oookay. Whatever that means.

Money is good, but no luck in gambling. So no Lotto betting for me. Sucks, I would’ve wanted to win that P150M jackpot. Ah, yeah, someone won it already. There you go.

Be careful of what you say and beware of gossips and intrigues. That’s why my new motto is "shut up." Would the last part mean "gossips and intrigues against me?" If so, that’s pretty interesting. ‘Coz I’m not one person you should waste your time on.

I don’t remember everything. Basically that’s it. But should I actually believe in them? As they say, you make your own destiny. So whatever rocks my boat, eh?

Still, I guess it won’t hurt to zip my mouth.

Hmm, maybe it’s bad breath that I should be wary of.
