The Bastard Moonchild’s demented thoughts and mundane stories

Post-Christmas thoughts

1) The song "Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit" encourages noise pollution.
       "Tayo’y mangagsiawit / habang ang mundo’y tahimik//"
Mag-ingay ba daw. Sige ka, magagalit ang kapitbahay… daig mo pa ang sasapitin ng kumanta ng "My Way…"

2) The kids at our place have a new staple song. Instead of the usual "Sa may bahay" ditty, they sing Jose Mari Chan’s "Christmas In Our Hearts." Imagine three to four batches of carolers singing that song in just one night. Hmmm, I appreciate their effort in learning that song. Though my family chooses to be Scrooges this Season. Wehehe. :D
Kudos to Mr. Chan, too. A decade after, his Christmas song is still a hit.
… Is it just me, or does the song seem somber for a Christmas carol…?

3) Thanks to all the people who took the time to text Yuletide greetings, may it be generic, forwarded or personalized — high school friends, college friends, work buddies, ex-work buddies, etc. The thought was very well appreciated.
Here’s wishing the next year brings more blessings.

I think I’ve reached the stage wherein I’m all too tired altogether. Tired about almost everything. This sucks. I lose my temper too easily. I’m slowly losing the will to work now. I don’t get to enjoy a lot of simple things anymore. Everything seems so complicated that I feel like I’m drowning in quicksand.

And I’m just past 1/4 of my life.

I wish things were like they were way back. Simpler, lesser worries.

Too bad corruption is an absolute truth.
