A day in the life…

The Bastard Moonchild’s demented thoughts and mundane stories

Isa’t kalahating shunga

Shunga (adj.) = tanga
——–

I just hate it.

Fickle-minded people.

One moment, they tell you to do this and that. So you do. When you show them what you did, they change their mind. As in a 180-degree turn.

It would have been friggin’ okay if they did it twice, thrice.

But it’s like the Nth friggin’ time.

Friggin’ a******s.

My evil side wants to chop their bodies to pieces and put them in the refrigerator or bake them alive in the oven. Unfortunately, it’s suppresed by conscience.

So I have no choice but to endure their fickleness.

After all, they pay me to do this.

Damn.

Haay, rally na naman…

But let’s take it out of our heads and be entertained with Parokya’s song. Included in the Halina sa Parokya.

If Chito were my classmate in Copywriting, he would have received high marks for this. Pero may minus points for composing his own music (dapat to the tune of…)

mag-aamoy mayaman
kahit na pagpawisan
di na mahihirapan
diretso nang kantooo…

kung saan may tindahang mapagbibilhan nitong produkto
siguradong patok (at wala kang putok!) garantisado

gumamit na ng papa, papa cologne

my name is peter north, and i’m from houston/colorado
i play a lot of tennis and i know a little judo
my darling likes me smelling good, it always turns her on
that’s why i use papa cologne

kung ang iyong problema

wag nang mag-alala
pagkat nandito na

ang sagot sa lahat ng problema mo sa mga babae
ang gamot sa lahat ng pagkakabigo ng mga lalake

Who’s Viewed Me… where are you?

Has Friendster made a mistake when it decided to put the "Who’s Viewed Me?" feature?

Now everyone’s in hiding. No more peeking at other people’s profiles. Or everyone has switched to anonymous mode.

Rendering Friendster’s efforts futile.

Now I can’t see that feature in my start page. Trying to mend the boo-boo?

Prize me… for lack of a better title

Nothing. I just got all excited as I claimed my prize for the Corpse Bride promo of ClicktheCity.com last Saturday. Won a Corpse Bride mousepad and notebook (with a holographic cover). Ain’t it cool…

My mom thought it was just an ordinary Grade 1 pad, though. Duh.

My dad asked how much memory it had. Errr, wrong notebook. At least he’s tech-updated now. :D

I ain’t gonna use it, by the way. For display purposes only. Or maybe after 10 years, I could sell it to the highest bidder…

Or maybe not. :P

Technology-dependent (tsk, tsk)

Yesterday our LAN connection bogged down. Our computers weren’t able to access each other. Printing files had to undergo a long and tedious process. Worse, the Net connection was affected, much to the dismay of the people around here in the office. Especially me.

Ah, technology. It’s like nicotine. Once you got a taste of it, you’re hooked for life. Without it come the withdrawal symptoms: anxiety, irritation, slight manifestations of laziness.

Good thing there’s Tong-its.

Wishlist

Saw this feature on one of those friends network sites. It’s probably new, or maybe I just noticed it now ‘coz I haven’t been checking out that website for so long.

Anyway, it’s really simple. You just have to enter what you want, accompany it with a picture (optional), and whoever sees it and would probably want to make you real happy and would want to give you that can click on the link that would provide more information about that particular thing (with Google’s help, info on online orders, reviews, etc,). Well, it’s a lot simpler to see it though.

Since I’d have to get into that mood (gift-giving is fast approaching), here’s my wishlist, in no particular order.

1. Mirrormask DVD copy. Wishing ‘coz I know I (and all other Gaiman/McKean fans who don’t order online) would be having a hard time finding it here in Manila.
2. Anansi Boys novel. Preferably paperback. Hardbounds are giving me a, uh, hard time.
3. Digicam. This one I’m still trying to save up for. When 13th month pay comes along and I’d feel so selfish, I’d probably use it to buy this one. Probably a Kodak or Canon.
4. Siemens M65. The phone that beat SE P900 for me. Why? Kasi barubal ako. I need a phone that can handle stress better than I do (read: nababagsak, nababato, etc.). P900 is too delicate to experience stress. Masyado pang formal. M65, on the other hand, is the cowboy phone I’m looking for.

Wishlist, meaning it’s what I want, and wishing talaga ako na makukuha ko siya. As if.

Friday, wonderful Friday

Still fresh in my memory…

Friday was a blast. Aside from receiving our pay (woohoo!!), we attended a client’s event in Eastwood… which would eventually be one of the best nights I’ve ever had with my officemates.

But before that, there’s the Friendster situation.

Just last Friday, we learned about the new "Who’s Viewed Me" feature that enables you to see who has been looking at your Friendster profile. Or who’s probably stalking you. Wehehehe! So, after all the initial reactions (shocked people here…) and getting over all the hype, I think everyone’s trying their best not to peek into other people’s profiles (for whatever reason), or probably (as most people would probably do) switch to "Anonymous" mode so they can keep looking (stalking?) on other’s profiles.

Yo Friendsters, this is the time to get paranoid. :D

Anyway, that Friday night, we were supposed to go to a client’s event in Eastwood (yeah, so I’ve said that a while ago). But when we came there, the show was over. As in katatapos lang. Great. Missed Orange and Lemons’ performance. Together with the Bastard Creative People, I ate at Kenny Rogers and met up with the other officemates (who chose to mingle with the clients) afterwards.

For a while we were outside Seattle’s Best, contemplating whether we were up to riding the merry-go-round (ahehehe!) as we were watching the human statue nearby (he’s like a statue dressed in Counter-Terrorist attire, then he’d start to dance to the bewilderment of kids and adults, then freeze again. He’s cool!).

Then a bright idea came to mind. May videoke kaya dito?

So we went to Cable Car, settled onto the second floor and chose songs to belt out. Thing is, that was an open venue. Like a wholesome beerhouse or something. As in there’s just one videoke machine and one song book, and you’d hear other people sing off-key. And they’d hear you sing, too.

Hey, in fairness to us, we got much prettier voices than them. Not to mention better song choices. We didn’t have the guts to sing Boulevard or Nanghihinayang, hello?

That gig lasted until 2AM. Food, beer, a videoke machine, and a bunch of happy people. That was the schiznit.

Missing Wunjo? I guess I didn’t mind.

Ah, repeat performance? :D
