Karma chameleon…
Read my Friendster horoscope today:
Why not give your karma a little extra polish? It couldn’t hurt. Look for ways to help someone else. You can do it in all kinds of ways, from buying your coworker a latte to volunteering at a shelter.
Hmm, kinda reminds me of yesterday…
No, I did not buy someone latte. Nor did I volunteer at a shelter. It’s a whole lot simpler than that.
Inside the female restroom, I found a watch/bracelet. A white CK watch with an opaque hard plastic strap that looks like a bangle. So I asked my officemates (who happened to be there, too… what’s with women going to the comfort room in groups?) if it was theirs. Negative. We came to a conclusion that it must be owned by the other tenants of our floor. My officemate suggested we go to the Imation office, since the watch looked a bit familiar… and the girls there were our friends, too (compared to the other two offices here).
So my officemate and I trotted to our neighbor and knocked on the glass door (it was locked, they had this automatic lock thingy) for about a while, and when Rexie (our neighbor and CR buddy) saw us, she immediately let us in. And the rest is all too predictable… yes, it was her watch. She forgot she left it in the CR. "Buti na lang kayo ang nakakita," she says while giggling. And so after the thank yous and goodbyes, we went back to our office on the other side of the hall.
Y’know, there’s that nice feeling that grows inside when you get to help someone. Imagine, if I decided to follow the mantra, "finders keepers, losers weepers," I wouldn’t feel guiltless, knowing that someone must be wracking her brains out, looking for her lost possession everywhere.
Besides, I’m not too lucky with lost-and-found-by-me items.

Post Script: My cousin (name withheld, you figure it out) probably thinks I’m pretty weird ‘coz I write too much in my blog (he told me he saw all the mail alerts on his Yahoo, i just concluded that he must think it’s weird). So maybe I’ll try to lessen my blog writing so he’d get lesser mail alerts about me having posted a new entry in my Friendster blog.
Or maybe not.
